Eight-year-old Helps Dolphins

April 7, 2007

Amy Jones may be young, but she has a vision and an intense desire to help dolphins. Amy has written 3 stories that she hopes to get published to raise money for the Marine Conservation Society, an organization dedicated to caring for our oceans, shores and marine wildlife.

Amy's stories, entitled Dolphy Saves the Planet Bit by Bit, are about a dolphin named Dolphy who wants to save the planet. Dolphy discovers a magical tunnel and with his friends, Surf and Wave set out to help people and other marine animals.

There are many problems facing dolphins today. Pollution and litter have contaminated our oceans and effect dolphins in ways that are not commonly known. Making people aware is the first step to finding solutions! Amy's creative stories are a fine example of people finding positive ways to help.

E-books about Dolphy and his friends are expected to be available soon at the following websites:
Marine Conservation Society
Dolphin Care UK

Publishers wishing to help can contact Katherine at Marine Conservation Society.
